Everyone has their own ideas of how an office layout and environment has to be. Some like it to be old school, some like it funky, some like it to be a large open space and some like small cubicles. However you like your office space to be there are some basic things you can take care of in terms of the setup to keep your employees’ morale and energy levels up.
The right temperature : Human body reacts to different temperatures differently. The sweet spot where it is not concerned about the temperature is the room temperature. Keeping it around 24 deg C should keep all employees comfortable. This ofcourse varies from place to place. The room temperature Canadians like won’t be the same as that of the Australians.
Natural light : Ensure that there is plenty of natural light. Not only does it help your employees be healthier by preventing Vitamin D deficiencies, it will also boost their productivity since studies have shown human body feels more comfortable under natural light. Do ensure that they don’t have direct sunlight. Now that would be counter productive.
